Newberry is a county or district in South Carolina. It was formed in 1800 from the following county/ies or district/s: Newberry County in Ninety-Six District. It has functioned since 1785. Newberry began keeping birth records in 1915, marriage records in 1911, and death records in 1915. It began keeping land records in 1776, probate records in 1776, and court records in 1776.
