Hampton is a county or district in South Carolina. It was formed in 1878 from the following county/ies or district/s: Beaufort. Hampton began keeping birth records in 1915, marriage records in 1911, and death records in 1915. It began keeping land records in 1878, probate records in 1878, and court records in 1878.
