Marion is a county or district in South Carolina. It was formed in 1800 from the following county/ies or district/s: Liberty County in Georgetown District. It has functioned since 1800. Marion began keeping birth records in 1915, marriage records in 1800, and death records in 1915. It began keeping land records in 1800, probate records in 1790, and court records in 1800.
