Clarendon is a county or district in South Carolina. It was formed in 1855 from the following county/ies or district/s: Sumter. It has functioned since 1785'1800. Clarendon began keeping birth records in 1915, marriage records in 1911, and death records in 1915. It began keeping land records in 1856, probate records in 1856, and court records in 1856.
