Florence is a county or district in South Carolina. It was formed in 1888 from the following county/ies or district/s: Marion/Darlington/Clarendon/Williamsburg. Florence began keeping birth records in 1915, marriage records in 1911, and death records in 1915. It began keeping land records in 1889, probate records in 1889, and court records in 1889.
