Kershaw is a county or district in South Carolina. It was formed in 1800 from the following county/ies or district/s: Kershaw County in Camden District. It has functioned since 1791. Kershaw began keeping birth records in 1915, marriage records in 1911, and death records in 1915. It began keeping land records in 1787, probate records in 1782, and court records in 1783. Records of Camden Circuit Court and Equity Circuit districts are housed in Kershaw County.
