Pickens is a county or district in South Carolina. It was formed in 1826 from the following county/ies or district/s: Pendleton. Pickens began keeping birth records in 1915, marriage records in 1911, and death records in 1915. It began keeping land records in 1828, probate records in 1828, and court records in 1823.
