Horry is a county or district in South Carolina. It was formed in 1801 from the following county/ies or district/s: Georgetown. Horry began keeping birth records in 1915, marriage records in 1911, and death records in 1915. It began keeping land records in 1803, probate records in 1799, and court records in 1803. For more information, contact the county at P.O. Box 288, Conway 29526-0288. On the attached map, Horry is located at K4. Formed from the territory of Kingston County (non-functioning) in Georgetown Circuit Court District.
