Hancock is a county in Illinois. It was formed in 1825 from the following county/ies: unorganized (Pike)/*Adams. Hancock began keeping birth records in 1844, marriage records in 1829, and death records in 1878. It began keeping land records in 1817, probate records in 1830, and court records in 1829.
