Monroe is a county in Illinois. It was formed in 1816 from the following county/ies: St. Clair/Randolph. Monroe began keeping birth records in 1877, marriage records in 1816, and death records in 1878. It began keeping land records in 1816, probate records in 1820, and court records in 1816.
