St. Clair is a county in Illinois. It was formed in 1790 from the following county/ies: (territorial; became Illinois county 1809) unorganized. St. Clair began keeping birth records in 1830, marriage records in 1763, and death records in 1832. It began keeping land records in 1786, probate records in 1772, and court records in 1778.
