Dakota is a county in Minnesota. It was formed in 1849 (1853) from the following county/ies: unorganized *Ramsey. Dakota began keeping birth records in 1870, marriage records in 1853, and death records in 1870. It began keeping land records in 1852, probate records in 1863, and court records in 1853.
