Itasca is a county in Minnesota. It was formed in 1849 (1857) from the following county/ies: (disestablished 1858; reorganized, 1891) *Washington/*Benton/*Chisago/*Crow Wing/*Morrison/*St. Louis/*Aitkin. Itasca began keeping birth records in 1893, marriage records in 1891, and death records in 1894. It began keeping land records in 1868, probate records in 1898, and court records in 1891.
