Wayne is a county in North Carolina. It was formed in 1779 from the following county/ies: Dobbs. Wayne began keeping birth records in 1913, marriage records in 1790, and death records in 1913. It began keeping land records in 1780, probate records in 1776, and court records in 1782. For more information, contact the county at P.O. Box 227, Goldsboro 27530-0227.
