Catawba is a county in North Carolina. It was formed in 1842 from the following county/ies: Lincoln. Catawba began keeping birth records in 1913, marriage records in 1843, and death records in 1913. It began keeping land records in 1837, probate records in 1843, and court records in 1843. For more information, contact the county at P.O. Box 389, Newton 28658-0389.
