Martin is a county in North Carolina. It was formed in 1774 from the following county/ies: Halifax/Tyrrell. Martin began keeping birth records in 1913, marriage records in 1872, and death records in 1913. It began keeping land records in 1774, probate records in 1774, and court records in 1809.
