Pasquotank is a county in North Carolina. It was formed in about 1681(as a precinct;declared a county, 1739) from the following county/ies: Carteret Precinct, Albemarle County. Pasquotank began keeping birth records in 1691, marriage records in 1691, and death records in 1691. It began keeping land records in 1666, probate records in 1709, and court records in 1737.
