Wake is a county in North Carolina. It was formed in 1770 from the following county/ies: Cumberland/Orange/Johnston. Wake began keeping birth records in , marriage records in 1770, and death records in . It began keeping land records in 1774, probate records in 1770, and court records in 1769.
