Pitt is a county in North Carolina. It was formed in 1760 from the following county/ies: Beaufort. Pitt began keeping birth records in 1913, marriage records in 1826, and death records in 1913. It began keeping land records in 1762, probate records in 1836, and court records in 1850. For more information, contact the county at 1717 W. Fifth St., Greenville 27834-1601.
