Screven is a county in Georgia. It was formed in 1793 from the following county/ies: Burke/Effingham. Screven began keeping birth records in 1927, marriage records in 1817, and death records in 1927. It began keeping land records in 1794, probate records in 1790, and court records in 1811. For more information, contact the county at P.O. Box 159, Sylvania 30467.
