Pendleton is a county in West Virginia. It was formed in 1788 from the following county/ies: Augusta, Va./Hardy/Rockingham, Va. Pendleton began keeping birth records in 1853, marriage records in 1800, and death records in 1853. It began keeping land records in 1789, probate records in 1789, and court records in 1789.
