Lewis is a county in West Virginia. It was formed in 1816 from Harrison. Lewis began keeping birth records in 1853, marriage records in 1816, and death records in 1853. It began keeping land records in 1817, probate records in 1816, and court records in 1817. For more information, contact the county at P.O. Box 466, Weston 26452-0466.
