Pocahontas is a county in West Virginia. It was formed in 1821 from the following county/ies: Bath, Va./Randolph/Pendleton. Pocahontas began keeping birth records in 1853, marriage records in 1822, and death records in 1853. It began keeping land records in 1822, probate records in 1822, and court records in 1822.
