Nicholas is a county in West Virginia. It was formed in 1818 from the following county/ies: Greenbrier/Kanawha/Randolph. Nicholas began keeping birth records in 1853, marriage records in 1817, and death records in 1853. It began keeping land records in 1818, probate records in 1820, and court records in 1818.
