Hancock is a county in West Virginia. It was formed in 1847 from the following county/ies: Kanawha/Cabell/Logan. Hancock began keeping birth records in 1853, marriage records in 1854, and death records in 1853. It began keeping land records in 1848, probate records in 1848, and court records in 1848.
