Sullivan is a county in New York. It was formed in 1809 from the following county/ies: Ulster. The earliest land deed in Sullivan was recorded in 1809. Surrogate's Court records begin in 1811. For more information, contact the county at 100 North St., Monticello 12701. On the attached map, Sullivan is located at T13. A fire in 1909 destroyed will volumes 1-7 but all or most of the files survived.
