Ontario is a county in New York. It was formed in 1789 from the following county/ies: Montgomery. The earliest land deed in Ontario was recorded in 1789'1915*. Surrogate's Court records begin in 1789'1926*. One can contact the Surrogate's Court at 27 N. Main St. For more information, contact the county at 20 Ontario St., Canandaigua 14424.
