Westchester is a county in New York. It was formed in 1683 from the following county/ies: original. The earliest land deed in Westchester was recorded in 1667'1852*. Surrogate's Court records begin in 1775'1910; original wills through 1941;and record books, 1777'1895**. On the attached map, Westchester is located at U15. *These records, with indexes for 1680'1897, are held at the Records Center and Archives, 2199 Saw Mill River Rd., Elmsford, NY 10523.
