Jefferson is a county in Kentucky. It was formed in 1780 from the following county/ies: Kentucky (Va.). Jefferson began keeping birth records in 1852, marriage records in 1781, and death records in 1852. It began keeping land records in 1783, probate records in 1784, and court records in 1780.
