AISI: Accelerated Indexing Systems International of Bountiful, Utah.

BLM: Bureau of Land Management (see GLO).

DAR: Daughters of the American Revolution.

FHL: Family History Library in Salt Lake City, Utah.

GLO: General Land Office (became the BLM in 1946).

IGI: International Genealogical Index.

M### (also T###): A capital T or M followed by a number is the reference for a National Archives microfilm.

NARA: National Archives and Records Administration.

OCLC: On-line Computer Library Center.

USGS: United States Geological Survey.

WPA: Works Progress Administration (also Work Projects Administration).
