Yellowstone is a county in Montana. It was formed in 1883 from the following county/ies: Custer/Gallatin. Yellowstone began keeping birth records in 1884, marriage records in 1887, and death records in 1884. It began keeping land records in 1883, probate records in 1883, and court records in 1883. Land was added from the Crow Indian Reservation in 1885.
