Printed lists of Vermonters who served in wars from the Revolution through the Desert Storm conflict have been published by the Vermont Adjutant General's Office. If you cannot find a copy of the appropriate volume in a library near you, the Vermont Department of Veterans' Affairs will answer inquiries (mailing address: 120 State St., Montpelier, VT 05620-4401). A few records of Vermont militia for the 1820 to 1830s can be found in some town meeting records.
