Van Buren is a county in Michigan. It was formed in 1829 (1837) from the following county/ies: unorganized *Lenawee/*Cass. Van Buren began keeping birth records in 1867, marriage records in 1836, and death records in 1867. It began keeping land records in 1836, probate records in 1837, and court records in 1844.
