Tyrrell is a county in North Carolina. It was formed in 1729 from the following county/ies: Bertie/Chowan, Currituck,Pasquotank precincts, Albemarle County. Tyrrell began keeping birth records in 1913, marriage records in 1742, and death records in 1913. It began keeping land records in 1736, probate records in 1739, and court records in 1735.
