Stillwater is a county in Montana. It was formed in 1913 from the following county/ies: Carbon/Sweet Grass (1915)/Yellowstone. Stillwater began keeping birth records in 1887, marriage records in 1913, and death records in 1907. It began keeping land records in 1913, probate records in 1913, and court records in 1913. For more information, contact the county at 400 Third Ave N./Box 970, Columbus 59019-0970. On the attached map, Stillwater is located at F6. Land was added from Sweet Grass in 1915.
