Stephens is a county in Texas. It was formed in 1858 from the following county/ies: (as Buchanan; organized 1876) Bosque. Stephens began keeping birth records in 1903, marriage records in 1876, and death records in 1903. It began keeping land records in 1876, probate records in 1876, and court records in 1879.
