Sioux is a county in Nebraska. It was formed in 1867 (1886) from the following county/ies: Izard. Sioux began keeping birth records in , marriage records in 1887, and death records in . It began keeping land records in 1882, probate records in 1908, and court records in 1886. For more information, contact the county at 325 Main St./P.O. Box 158, Harrison 69346-0158. On the attached map, Sioux is located at A2. Attached to Cheyenne County for administrative purposes until 1886. Boundaries defined in 1877.
