Shelby is a county in Kentucky. It was formed in 1792 from the following county/ies: Jefferson. Shelby began keeping birth records in 1852, marriage records in 1792, and death records in 1852. It began keeping land records in 1792, probate records in 1794, and court records in 1804. For more information, contact the county at P.O. Box 819, Shelbyville 40066-0819.
