Schoolcraft is a county in Michigan. It was formed in (1871) 1843 from the following county/ies: Chippewa/ Mackinac Houghton/ Marquette/*Houghton. Schoolcraft began keeping birth records in 1870, marriage records in 1870, and death records in 1870. It began keeping land records in 1871, probate records in 1874, and court records in 1881.
