Sampson is a county in North Carolina. It was formed in 1784 from the following county/ies: Duplin. Sampson began keeping birth records in 1913, marriage records in 1867, and death records in 1913. It began keeping land records in 1752, probate records in 1778, and court records in 1790. For more information, contact the county at County Office Bldg., 435 Rowan St., Clinton 28328-4729.
