Rowan is a county in North Carolina. It was formed in 1753 from the following county/ies: Anson. Rowan began keeping birth records in 1913, marriage records in 1753, and death records in 1913. It began keeping land records in 1753, probate records in 1743, and court records in 1753. For more information, contact the county at 130 West Innes St., Salisbury 28144-4365.
