Richmond is a county in North Carolina. It was formed in 1779 from the following county/ies: Anson. Richmond began keeping birth records in 1914, marriage records in 1779, and death records in 1914. It began keeping land records in 1762, probate records in 1772, and court records in 1772. For more information, contact the county at P.O. Box 504, Rockingham 28379-0504.
