Presque Isle is a county in Michigan. It was formed in 1840 (1871) from the following county/ies: Mackinac *Cheboygan/*Alpena/*Antrim. Presque Isle began keeping birth records in 1871, marriage records in 1872, and death records in 1871. It began keeping land records in 1856, probate records in 1874, and court records in 1872.
