Porter is a county in Indiana. It was formed in 1835 (1836) from the following county/ies: unorganized (St. Joseph). Porter began keeping birth records in 1884, marriage records in 1836, and death records in 1884. It began keeping land records in 1833, probate records in 1839, and court records in .
