Ottawa is a county in Michigan. It was formed in 1831 (1837) from the following county/ies: Michilimackinac/unorganized *Kent. Ottawa began keeping birth records in 1866, marriage records in 1848, and death records in 1867. It began keeping land records in 1834, probate records in 1844, and court records in 1839.
