Osceola is a county in Michigan. It was formed in 1840 (1869) (as Unwattin'¯; renamed 1843) from the following county/ies: Mackinac *Mason/*Newaygo/*Mecosta. Osceola began keeping birth records in 1869, marriage records in 1869, and death records in 1870. It began keeping land records in 1853, probate records in 1870, and court records in 1870.
