Ohio is a county in West Virginia. It was formed in 1776 from the following county/ies: District of West Augusta, Va. Ohio began keeping birth records in 1853, marriage records in 1793, and death records in 1853. It began keeping land records in 1778, probate records in 1776, and court records in 1777.
