Newton is a county in Missouri. It was formed in 1838 from the following county/ies: Barry. Newton began keeping birth records in 1883'85, marriage records in 1865, and death records in 1883'85. It began keeping land records in 1839, probate records in 1839, and court records in 1939. For more information, contact the county at Neosho 64850. On the attached map, Newton is located at H2. Courthouse destroyed during Civil War.
