Periodicals
The New Mexico Historical Review has been published since 1926 by University of NM, 1013 Mesa Vista Hall, Albuquerque, NM 87131-1186 www.unm.edu/~nmhr. It is a fully indexed magazine of history that genealogists will find particularly helpful for background information and bibliographies.
La Crónica de Nuevo México is published by the Historical Society of New Mexico, P.O. Box 1912, Santa Fe, NM 87504 www.hsnm.org.
The Colonial Latin American Historical Review is published quarterly by the Spanish Colonial Research Center, NPS, Zimmerman Library, University of New Mexico, Albuquerque, NM 87131 www.unm.edu/~clahr.
The New Mexico Genealogist is published by the New Mexico Genealogical Society, P.O. Box 8283, Albuquerque, NM 87198-8283 www.nmgs.org. Published quarterly for over forty years.
Herencia is the quarterly journal published by the Hispanic Genealogical Research Center of New Mexico, P.O. Box 51088, Albuquerque, NM 87181 www.hgrc-nm.org.

Newspapers
The New Mexico Newspaper Project, completed in 1996, was the culmination of the microfilming of hundreds of New Mexico newspapers from the 1840s to the present. This includes many small, obscure, and short-lived papers, as well as papers from the mining camps. At least one newspaper was filmed for each New Mexico county. The complete set of this project, including some 600 rolls, is available at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, microform and periodical section, lower level. The University of New Mexico also holds numerous other papers, both from inside and outside the state, not part of the original project. The researcher can access holdings through the University of New Mexico at www.unm.edu/libraries.html. An excellent collection of microfilmed New Mexico newspapers is also to be found at the New Mexico Records Center and Archives, and microfilmed newspapers from the Territorial Period can be found at the Special Collections Library. Manuscript collections in the state may also contain collections of newspapers or newspaper clippings.
Vital records for many years of Albuquerque newspapers have been abstracted by the Albuquerque Genealogical Society (formerly Genealogy Club of Albuquerque) and are available at the Special Collections Library. Consult the following:

Manuscripts
The 'Online Archive of New Mexico' is a major finding aid for four of the state's major archival repositories and can be accessed at http://elibrary.unm/edu/oanm. Contributing repositories include the Center for Southwest Research at the University of New Mexico, the Fray Angélico Chávez History Library at the Palace of the Governors, the New Mexico State Records Center and Archives, and the Rio Grande Historical Collections of New Mexico State University. The 'Online Archive' contains descriptive information about the collections housed at these facilities, including an inventory, a collection summary, contents list, and other information. Not every manuscript collection housed at these facilities is included in this source, and researchers may need to contact the individual repository regarding other collections, or review their individual websites and online catalogs.
