Few cemetery records have been published; most exist in manuscript form in various repositories. There is an extensive typescript collection augmented annually by the local chapters of the DAR. A copy of each volume is deposited at the New Hampshire Historical Society, whose growing collection of cemetery inscriptions from all sources is being microfilmed. There are numerous typed and indexed cemetery transcriptions at the New Hampshire Historical Society, including many for southeastern towns.

Contributions to genealogical periodicals often contain cemetery inscriptions, and an increasing number of cemetery records have been published by local historical societies in recent years. The New Hampshire Old Gravestone Association' website www.rootsweb.com/~nhoga has a Master Burial Site Index, which attempts to list all known burial sites in the state. It does not include transcriptions of graves at those sites.
